She came to A Hope Center overwhelmed, scared, and uncertain about her future. A positive pregnancy test brought tears and fears; she didn’t know how she could possibly care for a child when she was struggling to care for herself. Family support was fragile, and she worried she would fail as a mother.
Yet, because of the compassion and resources made possible by friends like you, she did not have to face this moment alone. Our staff listened to her fears, prayed with her, and gently shared the hope of Christ. She was given practical help—prenatal vitamins, medical referrals, healthy living education, and community resources. She was also given her very first Bible and a list of local churches she requested.
When she returned for her ultrasound, everything changed. As she heard the steady beat of her baby’s heart, she began to see her future with new eyes. Though still uncertain, she signed up for our parenting program and took steps toward healthier choices for herself and her baby. With continued encouragement, prayer, and support, her fear began to give way to hope.
By the time she delivered, she was not just surviving, she was thriving. She sent us a joyful picture of her healthy 9-pound baby boy, a testimony to the power of God’s love and the difference your generosity makes.
